Evariste LOGOTA

AVEIRO

En résumé

Evariste Logota received his BSc in Telecommunications Engineering and MSc in Signal and Information Processing from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (China), in 2004 and 2007 respectively; his PhD in Telecommunications entitled “Control Design for Multicast-Aware Class-based Networks” within a consortium of three major Portuguese Universities in 2013.

In 2007, he became researcher at the Instituto de Telecomunicações (Portugal), where he has been involved in several international and national projects such as C-Cast, GEN-CAN, GTI-CANE, MuMoMgt, and most recently as senior researcher in ROMEO and ACCUS. Among his activities, he focused his research on the design of internetwork architectures and protocols, QoS and resource control, switching and routing, network survivability and multicast. Besides, he has been deeply involved in the development of new research proposals embracing Software Defined Networking, Network Functions Virtualization, Internet of Things, and Cloud technologies.

He has a broad and strong technical knowledge of packet-based transport technologies (e.g., IP/MPLS) and wireless systems. His research work resulted in two patents, several book chapters and publications in Journals and Conferences; a proof of his ability to deal with new challenges, his creativity, problem-solving and communication skills.
