En résumé

Graduate engineer and PhD, I have a strong knowledge in physics and computer science, and extensive experience in cycling competitions.
My goal is to combine large and complex data analysis, machine learning algorithms, physical modelling and physiology to come up with innovative solutions to improve significantly the performance in cycling.

    2016 - maintenant BIG DATA ANALYSIS:
    - Computation of the main metrics (power, heart rate, speed…) and complete analysis of the training or race sessions
    - Determination of new rider parameters such as workload, shape, physical capacities, …
    - Finding specific patterns on the data to avoid overtraining and to estimate further progress
    - Computation of the optimal training plan such that the rider reach his best shape on the d-day

    PHYSICAL MODELLING:
    - Creation of a model to compute the theoretical power of the rider given aerodynamic and physiological rider capacities as well as the GPS coordinates and the weather conditions
    - Machine learning algorithms to determine the aerodynamic feature (i.e. the drag coefficient) of the rider

    PROFESSIONAL TEAM ALGORITHMS:
    - Creation of algorithms to simulate specific types of stage or race scenarios
    - Computation of the optimal power distribution for an individual or team time trial
    - Determination of the optimal strategy for the team and his leader in the final climb of a mountain stage

    Valence 2014 - 2016 SIMULATION & DESIGN OF CUSTOM HIGH-POWER LASERS:
    - Determination of the technical specifications of the 2PW laser system for the European project ELI-ALPS, in accordance with the client’s needs
    - Complete design of the laser chain (stretcher, amplifiers, pump lasers, compressor)
    - Simulation of the parameters of the laser system (pulse propagation, dispersion, B-integral, amplification gain, spectral deformation, thermal lens, stretching and compression)
    - Improvement of the laser performances (increase of energy stability, reduction of the pulse duration, limitation of the spectral phase distortions)
    - Conception of the optical implementation plan

    ALIGNMENT & OPTIMIZATION OF LASER CHAINS:
    - Collaboration with the manufacturing department: alignment of high-power femtosecond laser chain modules (stretcher, multi-pass amplifier, regenerative amplifier, compressor, second harmonic generation) in clean room environment
    - Characterization of the laser beam (near-field and far-field imaging of the beam profile, wavefront measurement, spectrometry, pulse duration and spectral phase measurement)
    - Testing and optimization of the laser systems
    - Writing of manufacturing and alignment procedures

    2011 - 2014 DEVELOPMENT AND OPTIMIZATION OF EXPERIMENTAL DEVICES FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF SPATIOTEMPORAL PROFILES OF FEMTOSECOND LASER BEAMS:
    - Application to the determination of the maximal intensity at focus
    - Conception of two different setups respectively based on spectrally-resolved spatial interferences and cross-correlation
    - Physical modelling of the performances and limits of the different techniques
